Once a bedroom community to Austin, Round Rock has become one of the fastest growing area in Texas, boasting a great historic area, home to a large colony of Mexican free-tail bats. Located in Round Rock is the Dell Diamond, home of the Round Rock Express baseball team, and many new and existing subdivisions and golf courses.

Texas State University and Austin Community College are located here with plans to eventually serve over 40,000 students. Retail establishments include Ikea, Round Rock Premium Outlets and La Frontera. Round Rock Hospital serves this area.
